Let's Find Pokemon! Complete Edition's catalog page has been revised with a new format! It now features transcriptions of each page and more clarity of which pokemon you are supposed to be searching for! This is the format I will be applying to other pages moving forward :)
Other than that! I have been working on learning how to apply javascript to the site, which has been a slow but worthwhile project!- Prof. Abel

"Find Pokemon! A New Adventure" also has its own page now with scans of all its scenes. A lot of details in this book piqued my interest so Ive decided to add a "discoveries" section at some point to talk through this all further! Keep an eye out !!- Prof Abel

Those are the LAST books that have been published in English and in North America! I have started to catalog the the Japanese exclusive "Find Pokemon!" books which is presenting some new challenges. The primary one is translation- I have been using Google translate since I'm not able to read Japanese. If you know Japanese and are interesting in helping translate please reach out!! - Prof. Abel

BIG UPDATE (not on the site but related)!

Mybig shipment of Japanese exclusive "Find Pokemon!" books (plus FRLG that i ordered from ebay) just arrived :D So excited to review through these and scan the pages for this archive and the internet archive. I learned something new about these books- they come in a dust jacket! Its the same scene as the cover but it is still cool to learn that. None of the copies that I've gotten before (even my original copy of "Let's Find Pokemon! Special Complete Edition", I dont think that came with a dust jacket!). How neat!!

Keep an eye out for many new pages soon! - Prof. Abel

Set up the updates and todo sections on the homepage today! Gotta keep stuff a bit more linear as sometimes I get all over the place when I start working on a new project haha.

I also added a favicon/site icon (its a lil stylized question mark inside a pokeball!) and added some of my neocities mutuals to my neighbors list in my About Me! :) Its cool that I'm starting to see a few familiar faces arouind these parts.

Offline, I'm working at counting the pokemon on each page in Let's Find! Complete Edition. My husband showed me a great trick that involves tracing paper which has really expedited the process! I'll save that for the "behind the scenes" section in Extras in the future heheheh

Thats it for today! Keep searching, Trainers!!

    What is "Let's Find Pokémon!"?

    Great question!!

First published in 1999, Let's Find Pokémon! is a children's book series that answers the question: "What if Waldo of "Where's Waldo?" was actually 150+ cool and colorful critters and was a differant critter for each person reading the book?". That's right! Now you (yes, you!) can look for your favorite pokemon* in a sea of other pokemon while enjoying the chaos of a scene of over 150 other beasts who may or may not be interating with each other or their enviroment.

Each of the 10+ books were lovingly illustrated by the incredibly talented Kazunori Aihara. As the "Complete Edition" states : the books are "designed to teach your children to differentiate shapes and solve puzzles, as well as to aid their moral development." but adults can have a great time with these books too!!

That sounds so fun! So- What sort of things can I do on this site?

    Thank you for asking :)

I have had a hard time looking up information about these books (and not for a lack of trying)! I want this site to act as an archive and resource for those interested in this series. In the Catalog, you will be able to find a comprehensive list of all the Let's Find Pokemon! books, info about them, and each of the searching scenes and their solutions! You can also find the hidden plots and puzzles available in each of the books, MY personal favorite scenes in each of the books (unranked and unordered), and my assorted thoughts about this series and it's contemporaries in Extras :)

I will be working on other additions for this site in the future so watch this space hehehehe ;)

    Thanks, Professor Abel!

No, thank YOU for being here and having an interest in this with me!

    Happy searching, Trainers!!!
